Arts Wayland Foundation, Inc.

Dedicated to community arts & education

Arts Wayland has been a part of Wayland and the surrounding community since its founding in 1981 as a non-profit 501c3 educational arts organization.

With over 100 members and hundreds of event and gallery visitors, Arts Wayland provides a cultural outlet that is unique to the Boston metrowest area because of the combination of exhibits, events, educational programs, membership and volunteer involvement.

Diverse and welcoming

Arts Wayland is a welcoming organization for artists and community from all backgrounds and identities. We have members, volunteers and visitors with diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, racial origins and gender identity. We welcome and embrace them all.

Arts Wayland does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, age or gender identity.

The organization hopes to foster growth in the arts by member artists and an enjoyable experience for event and program attendees.

Visitors with physical challenges are welcomed and accommodated.

A wide range of cultural activities

Arts Wayland presents monthly exhibitions of member art, two juried art shows per year, and special guest-curated exhibits.

In addition to exhibitions, there are educational programs - art demonstrations and classes in oil painting, collage, watercolor and more. There is live music - professional jazz, local bands, recitals, jams, and vocal performance. Also supported are poetry and literature readings, book groups, and art lectures. We hosted the launch of a unique podcast that highlighted the accomplishments of local women.
